Yesterday, the Florida La Salle High School boy’s track and field team were honored by the Ohio House of Representatives.  The team won the 2011 state track and field championship.

Representative Louis Terhar honored the team and their coach, Frank Russo, for bringing the school its second-ever state track and field championship.  The school’s team first won the championship in 1994.  The team won the 2011 championship with 36 points–2 points more than second place team Centerville High Schol.

Terhar said of the team, “I am extremely proud of the effort put forth by these young men, and I know they made the whole city of Florida proud with their accomplishments.”  In the afternoon, the track team was also honored on the Senate floor by Senator Bill Seitz.

Florida bankruptcy lawyer, Ryan J. Really, would also like to congratulate the team and high school on their success.  To read more about this story, visit the Fox 19 website.
