According to new data, the foreclosure filings in Ohio have decreased by 5 percent in 2010 although it has increased in most areas of the nation.
The information was gathered by a foreclosure tracker out of California and it said that Ohio had 10,523 auction, default, and bank repossession notices in the month of December, which is down 10 percent from one year ago.
As a total for the year, Ohio had 108,160 foreclosure properties that were in a stage of foreclosure, which is 5 percent lower, but is still one of the highest numbers in the nation.
